Shri Ramroti Annakshetra Ashram is located in Kotharia, which is in a small pocket about 12 km away from a town named Surendranagar located in the parched landmass of Saurashtra peninsula of Gujarat. The region faces scorching sun from April to June and water scarcity for most part of the year. To add to the miseries, wide year to year fluctuations in the weather pattern, makes it a highly drought prone area.
Inspired by one man's spirit of empathy towards all living beings, this obscure pocket has been electrified into a vibrant entity, spreading succor to many human beings, animals, birds, plants alike. The sphere of its influence is so vast and resources so meager, that the magnitudes of the material help reaching out to the needy, are beyond one's belief.
